Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald created Levain Bakery in 1995, out of their passions for food, friendship, and hard work. Hailed as the home of one of the best chocolate chip cookies in New York City, the bakery draws crowds of neighborhood locals and travelers from around the world. And if on the off chance you want something other than a cookie, Levain also sells top-notch pastries and bread, baked fresh on-site daily. But honestly, you should get a cookie too.
