Arthouse Wine Bar: The Cabernet-Colored Heart of the Upper West Side
Tucked on West 77th Street, Arthouse Wine Bar is a wine and cocktail lounge inspired by speakeasies and the legendary Harlem music clubs of the 1920s. It offers an inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for pre-show drinks at the Beacon Theatre and more.
Specializing in handcrafted cocktails and a selection of wines carefully curated by certified sommelier Sam Mushman, Arthouse Wine Bar’s beverage menu pleases all palates. Wine tasting flights for oenophiles like the Local Lover highlight a selection of New York State’s most celebrated varietals. Wines from all over the world are also available by the glass, half-bottle, and bottle.
For cocktail enthusiasts, Arthouse mixologists created a bevy of mixed drinks inspired by the art world like the Mona Lisa (Brooklyn gin, garden party cucumber liqueur, simple syrup, lime) and the Sweet Da Vinci (plantation rum, canton ginger liqueur, pineapple, lime, cranberry). Additionally, the Smoking Herbs (mezcal, basil liquor, agave, lime, and a torched rosemary sprig) is a perennial favorite.
Arthouse Wine Bar happy hour is not to be missed. Offered Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm, sip a classic Cosmo, Aperol Spritz, or Negroni after work. Or, enjoy wine and beer specials.
Need a jazz fix? Live music fans can hear local musicians Tuesday through Friday. “Blue-eyed soul songstress” Nina Blu holds residency on Fridays, performing blues, jazz, pop, and soul in the lounge from 9pm to 11pm.
